Choosing the right NLP course![]()
There are dozens of NLP courses on the market to choose from and it can be very confusing to know which one will suit you best. Here are a few guidelines to help you choose:
What are the different levels of NLP training?
If you want to go forward with your NLP journey, perhaps to become a coach or therapist, you need to start at NLP Diploma level. Next comes NLP Practitioner training, and after that it's NLP Master Practitioner training. (The 4-day Diploma is in fact the first four days of the Practitioner course).
A word of warning - many courses advertise themselves as 'NLP Practitioner' courses, but they are in fact, just a few days training for personal development - ask for their accreditation details and whether the course would equip you to practise professionally.
professional indemnity insurance - without it, you will leave yourself open to having to pay for any claim against you (ouch!). In order to get Professional Indemnity Insurance, you will normally have to satisfy the insurer that your training has been externally accredited. Aspire2Change runs NLP Diploma and Practitioner courses accredited by INLPTA - the International NLP Trainers Association, which has very high standards that are open to public scrutiny. How big is the course?
Some courses have ver 100 students in class - and, in some you would be just one of a substantial 'audience' with the trainer performing 'on stage'. Some big courses have a slick marketing machine and someone has to pay for that - you! Small groups can be more comfortable and allow for individual attention and greater access to the trainer. The choice is yours - whichever you feel more comfortable with. At Aspire2Change, all our ourses are in small groups to allow an optimum learning experience.

The INLPTA accreditation is an assurance of quality. If you are taking a short course or non accredited course then it's worth finding out who the trainer is and what are their credentials? How long have they been an NLP trainer? What level of NLP experience do they have (they may not be a certified NLP trainer)? Ask for testimonials about the course and the trainer from previous students and get in touch with those students personally. What course materials are provided? - a comprehensive manual is usual. Beware of training companies who claim to be 'the best' - ask how long they have been trading. What should I be paying for an NLP Practitioner course?
Courses range between £1,000 and £3,000. A quality NLP Practitioner training will repay itself many times over, provided you make the most of your learning experience and actually use what you have learned, whether by changing career or doing better in your current one. So, it pays to make the right choice for you and your pocket. See our Training Promise below...
